"The Players Edge is the Kronk Gym of Baseball"

-Kirk Gibson

"Chris Newell is the best there is! His track record speaks for itself. He has a unique ability to make hard work easy and fun, while instilling confidence in each of his players."

- Pat Verbeek - 20 yr NHL Player - Asst. GM - Tampa Bay Lightning

" Chris Newell is head and shoulders above everyone else out there. Not only can he teach the proper mechanics, but he knows the entire game through in and throughout - What a great combination to have"

- Tony Stiel Hall of Fame Scout - Atlanta Braves, St Louis Browns and Baltimore Orioles

"Chris Newell is the best hitting instructor I ever had, and I never even played for him. He breaks the swing down and has an uncanny way of actually making you feel what you are doing. I reach out often to Chris to pick his brain when I'm working with young hitters."

- Dave Bergman - 1984 Detroit Tigers World Series Champions

" Chris is the reason my son continued playing baseball past high school. A simple phone call to one of my former teammates put me in touch with Chris. Not only did Chris give my son the proper foundation as a hitter, but his evaluation and connections allowed Erik to play at Michigan State and later drafted by the Philadelphia Philles."

- Jack Morris - Greatest pitcher in Detroit Tiger history - 4 Time World Series Champion

" I know Chris as a tremendously hard working instructor who will always give young players his best. I wish I would have had him on my coaching staff at Michigan."

- Geoff Zahn - Former Head Coach University of Michigan

"Chris Newell’s first question to me son Mark 14 years ago at his first lesson as a 9 year old was, “what’s the most important thing about baseball”? Chris answered the question himself by saying, “getting good grades”. That’s Chris Newell. Always caring about the big picture.
Chris Newell instilled  the Art of hitting and fielding into my sons soul. That’s why he became an upstanding High School and the Division 1 Second Baseman at Niagara University in New York. Playing 5 years at the highest collegiate level and showing the same commitment and respect for the game day in and day out.
When Chris Newell nicknames mARK, “Omar” after the great Omar Vizquel, it gave him a chinning bar, something to work toward. Because of Chris leadership and coaching skills, Mark made sure he was always the first to practice and the last to leave. Mark always made everyone around him better.
This is what Chris Newell does for young men. I am proud to know Chris and call him one of my very best friends I have ever had. I so respect all my son has accomplished so far on and off the field and Chris Newell has earned much of the credit. Chris Newell is like a son, a friend and a brother all wrapped in one.
If you want the best, someone to teach your young man the right way, make the commitment to see Chris at least once a week at his facility just as Mark did every Thursday at 430pm starting in 2002."

-Mark Meisner Father of Son who played at Niagara University
